Greek Yoghurt is great protein treatment for hair that is dry, brittle, needs moisture and lacks shine. What I love most is how simple this Greek yoghurt recipe is to make, and how full of life and bouncy it leaves your hair remaining. All the ingredients are made up of items found readily in your kitchen.
The ingredients are:
Greek yoghurt, coconut oil, olive oil and castor oil.
(Did you know: Greek yoghurt is high in hair
friendly protein, coconut oil keeps hair strong,
nourished and protected from the effects
such as baldness and excessive hair loss.
Olive oil is full of rich moisturising properties,
and castor oil is great to help thicken hair and
promote hair growth).
To make treatment mixture:
- Place 5-6 large spoonful’s of Greek yoghurt into a bowl (measure accordingly to your hair.
- Optional: Add a tablespoon of coconut oil, olive oil and honey
- Mix all the ingredients together leaving you with a smooth thick consistency.
Directions:
I highly advise washing this mixture out with shampoo as it can leave your hair smelling whiffy but feeling stronger and healhtier, so it’s worth it I promise. I hope this helps, and please do let me know how you got on with it!

Directions:
- Cleanse hair with shampoo
- Split hair into 4-6 sections
- Massage Greek Yoghurt mixture through the lengths of your hair, section by section (if you don't want the smell of the Greek Yoghurt to remain try to avoid the mixture from touching the scalp)
- Twist or clip away each section covered in Greek yoghurt to avoid making a mess and to make the application easier
- Cover your hair with plastic bag/cap and let it sit (30mins to 1hr).
- Rinse the Greek yoghurt mixture out of your hair with warm water then shampoo with either a gentle co-wash, or diluted shampoo.
- Finally style hair as usual!
