With amazing reviews I decided to give them a try and see for myself. I picked up three of their most popular products - Rejuvenating Shampoo, Deep Repair Masque and Healing Oil Treatment.
Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo:
The rejuvenating shampoo is created for al hair types and designed to bring back to life dry and damaged hair. This was the very first sulphate and paraben free shampoo I tried when I started my natural hair journey in 2012. After using nothing but sulphate filled shampoos I was amazed at the difference between sulphate-free and non-sulphate free products. I used this product for 18mnths straight. Yes, 18 months! (When I find a product I like, I am loyal lol!) |
The shampoo has a thick consistency which feels velvety to the touch, as it’s packed with oil from the macadamia nut. Common for sulphate-free shampoos it does not lather up straight away and I've noticed the water does need to be quite warm for it to lather up and feel like it actually working.
Once I have the lather going I massage the shampoo into my scalp to lift any build-up/dirt and rinse out completely. I can really feel my hair and scalp is clean from just the first rinse. Depending on the state of my hair and scalp I would either repeat to have a deep clean to remove any oils, butters or leave it at that to avoid over drying my hair.
I then follow with either a conditioner, leave-in or, hair mask, DIY deep treatment (check out DIY Avocado and Banana Hair Mask and Greek Yoghurt Treatment).

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque: The repair masque is a hair reconstructor that is designed to penetrate and rebuild damaged hair for improved shine and elasticity. It is enriched with Macadamia and Argan oils for a deep nourishment and long-lasting conditioning. Like the shampoo this was the very first hair masque I tried and loved from the very beginning! |
This hair masque has a thick consistency!
- Repairs damaged hair and makes it soft and smooth.
- Turns frizzy hair into smooth loose curls.
- Smells nice and the fragrance lasts awhile.
- Gives hair the look and feel of a professional treatment.
- Does not coat hair and does not make it limp.
- Does not make the scalp oily.
- Paraben free.
Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil: (I love this oil!)
This oil is thick, very light and very silky in your hands. I did think right away this will not do much for my hair, how wrong was I! As soon as you run the oil through your hair it tames the frizz and leaves your hair soft, bouncy and shiny without the greasy feeling! That's not all, it smells so delicious like macadamia nut itself and feels amazing and velvety on your skin too. I use this oil in various ways: |
- After I have finished styling my hair I coat y hands and to add shine and protection from the elements.
- I use a little to seal the moisture into my strands after I have washed and conditioned my hair.
- I rub a little Add a little to the Deep Repair Mask to give the mask some extra oils to nourish my hair.
