When I was asked to review the long awaited Design Essential's Coconut and Monoi Deep Moisture Masque, I didn't think twice and jumped at the chance. Even though I love mixing DIY hair treatments at home, I'm always on the lookout for a good store bought hair masque. Something to deeply nourish and replenish my hair the time I need a quick hassle-free hair treatment. Having already tried and loved the Milk Soufflé, Oil Treatment and Intense Shine Oil Mist from the Coconut and Monoi range; I wanted to see if the masque lived up to the high standards the other products met. |

Once I received the product, the first thing I noticed about the Deep Moisture Masque was the sweet coconut scent and creamy texture which felt like whipped cream. The consistency seemed really light, a lot lighter than other deep conditioners I have used before. What really stood out was how smooth the product felt between my fingers, a lot like a de-tangler. To start my deep treatment I shampooed my hair and used a t-shirt to blot any excess water. |
To ensure even distribution I combed my hair with a wide tooth comb, gathered my hair into a bun and covered my hair with a plastic shower cap. I finally used a heated dryer for 10 minutes. I don’t usually use heat when deep conditioning but wanted to follow the instructions to achieve maximum results.
I really liked the Deep Moisture Masque as it does live up to being a deeply penetrating hydration treatment that transforms dry, dull, lifeless hair into soft, moisturised bouncy curls! Deep Moisture Masque is perfect for when your hair needs a quick hassle-free instant moisture boost!
