I was so excited to be invited to Lush’s Press event where they were launching their winter 2015 product line. I love Lush, they produce 100% vegetarian handmade hair and body products. If you're looking for products free from animal testing, who ethically source their ingredients and with naked packaging, then Lush is for you! Back to the press event, it was held at their recently opened flagship store on Oxford Street which is amazing. As I arrived at 6pm, I was ushered upstairs when I stated I was there for the press event. I was one of the first bloggers to arrive (I do love my time keeping skills lol!). I was handed a fruit punch (non-alcoholic of course!) encouraged to walk around and talk to staff and buyers who all seemed really eager to share all the information on products, ingredients and where they source their shea butter (Ghana) and coconut oil (Indonesia). |
As more bloggers started to arrive and the event was in full swing I was handed a basket, map (the store is 3 floors and huge!) and a press pass and told to mingle at my leisure whilst picking up a few goodies from their winter range. I felt right at home with the idea!
I decided to explore the lower floors, so headed down stairs which was bath-bomb and facial wash heaven! As I watched demonstrations and asked many questions as I was curious seeing products I hadn’t tried before (jelly shower gel?!). The staff were so lovely and were willing to demonstrate any products I wasn’t too sure about. Even better, I was delighted to be handed full size products to go away and try for myself!
Trotting round all three floors, I grabbed a few products which included Rub Rub Rub minty body scrub, Snow Fairy shower gel, The Comforter shower cream, Miles of Smiles triple mint tooth tabs, Buche De Noel face and body cleanser, Star Dust, Key Lime Pie lip balm, bath oils and so much more!

Of course I had to go and test the spa which was as I expected - so beautiful and calming! After having a thorough tour and a lot of oohhhs and aahhhs I was treated to the comforter on my hands which included a warm chocolate scrub removed with a warm mitten followed by a massage using rose-argan oil balm. Such a yummy experience, let’s just say if I hadn’t already had dinner I might have taken a bite out my own hand! Trust me the pictures do it no justice, I will be back! What I loved most about the Lush spa is the non-clinical atmosphere. It had a home-away-from-home feel which made you feel at ease straight away. |
As soon as you walk in it feels like you're somewhere deep in the countryside completely forgetting you're in the heart of busy London. There are many treatments available which to my delight can be customised to suit your needs.
After leaving the spa I decided to give in to the brownies and cakes laid out for us (chocolate scrub got me hungry!) and chatted with my blogger buddy Lola’s Curls. To our surprise it was 9pm already, we said our goodbyes, thanked all the lovely staff and on our way out to our surprise we each received HUGE goodie-bags additional to all the product we had picked out! What can I say, I had such a magical time, such amazing atmosphere and products. I even tried |
Eggnog (veggie version of course) for the first time & let me not get started on the biggest swag bag EVER including a huge box of 20 bath bombs!!)
p.s I hope the idea of a Lush Spa Hotel becomes a reality!
